Telephonics Electronic Systems - Huntington, New York
When existing emulations of Control Audio Panels (CAP) were demonstrated to
Telephonics at their New York offices, they quickly realised the potential of this
technology to develop new products.
This Rapid Application Development (RAD) tool saw working prototypes developed
in days, rather than months. With near instantaneous delivery via the internet,
Telephonics’ design engineers could quickly evaluate each iteration of this design.
The UK developer of this product also influenced the Human Machine Interface
(HMI) when conflicts were discovered in the HMI that the designers hadn’t foreseen.
Both a complex radio communications control panel for a military customer and a
simple version for incorporation into military vehicles, have been developed.
Telehphonics’ engineers have demonstrated these prototypes to their customers on
touch-screen PC’s. Unfortunately, screenshots of these prototypes cannot be shown
due to customer confidentiality.
